Any guy can take paternity leave using the Family Leave Act. However, it’s up to your company whether you are paid or not. Most Dads just use vacation time.

But I did find this on the same website, apparently WA does have paid family leave available:

An employer shall allow an employee to use the employee’s accrued sick leave to care for a child of the employee under the age of eighteen with a health condition that requires treatment or supervision (1988); effective January 1, 2003, an employer also must allow an employee to use sick leave to care for a spouse, parent, parent-in-law, or grandparent of the employee who has a serious health condition or an emergency condition (2002)
