And where and how do you begin? We don’t really have any assets, but I want to make sure our kids will go to who we feel is the best to raise them if something would happen to us. My husband also has a child from previous relationship (not marriage).
1) Can the child from previous relationship claim any of his father’s/our family assets?
2) If that child can claim any of his father’s assets then how can we protect our assets from that child (child from previous relationship)?

Prenupt only talks about if the marriage breaks up OR upon death of spouse. It doesn’t say anything about if one gets so sick they can’t make decisions about their finances.
