I requested to live in one of the three dorms that fill up fast. Is it likely that I’ll get what I requested. The dorm houses about 300 freshmen. Is April 25th like waaaay late requesting that type of housing or do you think I’ll get it?

One of the things I most looked forward for in college was independence. We can’t afford for me to live in the dorms though. Will I feel independent living at home? I feel like I might because my mom and I made an agreement that the entire lower floor of the house was mine, no one can enter without my permission. But, I feel like I won’t because I’m sure that my little sister will not heed those rules. What do you think?

Say I am in medical school and we’re still together. I will most likely (or be obligated to) live in the school dormitory rooms. Could she live with me there? Is there any option a lot of other people do to cope with having a partner through medical school. She might not go to a graduate school and may just pick up light work (maybe not enough to afford an apartment). Ideas?

My wife and I are thinking that tuition from a top 20 school will probably roll into 60k/yr and living expenses with 3 kids another 40k/yr. so in total around 400k for 4 years.

We were wondering if our estimates are too high, or too low. Also is 400k in total loans worth it? Or just 300k for a JD or 200k for a MBA?
