Long story short I live with my parents and they have a dog and cat that my 8 month old Golden loves, if I move into a small apartment (he will get plenty of exercise) with no other animals do you think he will do okay? Or would it be a good idea to get another animal, maybe a cat? (i’m really not a two dog person)

i live in town and want a dog. i have a large yard but its not fenced in. im looking for dog like a lab or beagle that i dont have to worry about being in the house or outside. i think a lab is to big for town and i had beagle once and we had problems with it in town.
my yard is not fenced but when its outside i would be with it. several of my friends have small dogs like Chihuahuas and they are the meanest most annoying things ive ever come across.
