Kelli B asked:
We recently got custody of my husbands two kids. For a full month his child support was being deducted from his paycheck. His ex was ordered to pay child support to us. She paid one month of child support but has failed to pay any more than that. I am wondering if they will deduct that from her tax returns or if we need to take action to try and collect other ways, if so, any ideas on a good way to collect?

My husband and I are filling out our Living Will (now that we are preparing for our first child) but we are arguing on who should take our child if something were to happen to the both of us. It is very difficult because he thinks his family should get her and I think my family should get her. The other problem is that our families live 10 hours away from each other so it’s not like the family without her can see her at any time. Please, only serious answers as this is a difficult decision. It’s very hard putting yourself in this scenerio to begin with!

How do you live with this kind of person as a member of your family. When she does not take her medication–by choice–(why?) she makes life miserable for the rest of her family.
The person that I am talking about is my sister and she is 17. She chooses to not take her medication because she seems to love the drama and attention that she gets from being out of control. SHe is not satisfied being part of the family–she needs to consume the family. I am most concerned about my younger sister having to still live with this.

In this economy, downsized by a greedy, dishonest employer that contested everyone’s unemployment, I’m in a place where there may be a period of time between this apartment and another. Paying Child Support, I need to report address changes.

Can living in a room per week or motel with them temporarily cause problems with custody in Pennsylvania?
Four decades and this is all new to me.
Thanks for your input ahead of time.
